| After any audio or Windows change | Run a new manual and automatic recording test, particularly after driver, mixer, device or clock changes. |
| Before critical coverage | Verify SMTP alerts, output path, backup capacity and the intended Scheduler cells. |
Data and compliance considerations
BroadcastLogger provides technical recording and retention tools; the operator remains responsible for deciding what must be recorded, how long it must be retained, who may access it and how it should be protected. Review relevant station policy, advertiser agreements, privacy requirements and applicable broadcasting obligations before relying on the archive as an official record.
